DIY: Marker Mugs

Can I just say that I spent way too much time doing this? And that I enjoyed it way too much.

So Much Fun!
So Much Fun!

All you need is permanent markers, and a ceramic mug. (And of course, your oven.)

DIY Marker Mugs 001Go ahead and doodle on your decorations! Dive right in! If you happen to make a mark where you don’t want it, all you have to do is spray some Windex on a paper towel and wipe it off!!

Trust me, I used a lot of Windex. 🙂

It took me awhile, but I finally finished a design I liked! Once done, place the mug on a cookie sheet and put it in your oven. Then set the temperate to 350*F (do not wait for the oven to ‘preheat’ before placing your mug in there, put it in there right away!) Once the oven gets to 350*F leave the mug in there and ‘bake’ it for 30 more minutes.

Turn the oven off after the 30 minutes, and wait until the mug is cool before taking it out.

Don't worry! The smudge is photo-shopped, I wrote the recipients name on there and didn't want too share! ;)

I will probably end up making more! 🙂
