Mesa Verde National Park: My second Home

Arriving at the Park!
Arriving at the Park!

Well, I finally arrived at Mesa Verde National Park on Saturday a little bit before noon! Unfortunately, I haven’t been adjusting well to the altitude. I can’t seem to drink enough water! Although, I’m sure the amount of cookie dough I ate today, probably isn’t helping. 🙂

This is sleepting Ute Mountain….. that’s probably not the right name. Like I said, struggling with adjusting to the altitude. Haha! But if you look closely, you can see a “man/warrior” laying down on his back, with his head to the right, and his feet on the left. He has his arms crossed across his chest.

You can see Sleeping Ute from the Mesa, but the best view is when you are driving to Cortez, which is one of the close local towns. This was on our way to get groceries before we headed up the Mesa!
We also stopped at the new Visitor Research Center at the Entrance of the Park. Someday I’ll have to do a post about it all by itself because it is NICE!

I now realize that I don’t have a picture of what my apartment looks like, but I hope to remember to add one later. I did want to show off some of the decorations I put up though!

Remember the pillowcases I made in a previous post? I also made a bed skirt with the leftover material. :)

My first day of work is tomorrow, I’m kinda nervous. Yet, very excited as well! I freshened up my uniform from the pack, and got my backpack all prepared. Technically I don’t start giving tours until Wednesday, but I like to be prepared. 🙂 Haha!

Reminder, if you have any questions, or comments, please feel free to do it on this post, or on my “Questions” page that is listed above!!
