Welcome Explorers- So far I have worked nine seasons with the National Park Service. My first season was at Assateague Island National Seashore in Maryland (2011). The summer of 2012 and the summer of 2013 I worked at Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado.
In the summer of 2014 and 2015 I worked in Yellowstone National Park, and I went back to Mesa Verde National Park in between the summers of Yellowstone (winter 2014-2015 and winter 2015-2016).
My eighth season with the National Park Service was this last summer, 2016, in Alaska, in Katmai National Park and Preserve. I just finished my ninth season at Mesa Verde National Park.
I want to encourage in people a connection between them and our Nation’s natural, cultural, and historical heritage.
I hope to continually update this blog as I travel through my National Park Service journey, meeting new people, going on new adventures, and learning life lessons on the way.
I write about many different topics ranging from travel experiences through different parks and trails, to environmental news that I think are important. As well as my sweet-tooth that leads to some baking recipes.
